<p><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students</li> <li>Assessment and reporting practices – ability to provide constructive feedback to parents</li> <li>Excellent classroom management</li> <li>Willingness to support the Christian ethos of Lutheran School</li> <li>Demonstrate, develop and maintain both effective practices in teaching and learning and positive relationships with students and colleagues</li> <li>Create a nurturing, ordered, and learner-centred environment that supports student engagement and achievement</li> <li>Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs using the NSW curriculum; evaluate their effectiveness; assess and report student progress; and report these to students, parents and the community</li> <li>Commitment to meet quality standards; and the willingness to update their technical skills and knowledge on a regular basis</li> <li>Employ differentiated, inclusive, and equitable teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and to engage students in their learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>To be successful in this role you must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and sensitively with staff, parents and students &nbsp;</li> <li>A current NSW Education Teacher registration (NESA) &nbsp;</li> <li>Teaching experience preferably in Junior Primary</li> <li>A current First Aid Certificate</li> <li>A current NSW Working with Children Check</li> <li>As a teacher of Christian Studies, a willingness to attain the accreditation required by Lutheran Education.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional skills that foster partnerships with students, parents, and staff &nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of current education practice and NESA curriculum documents &nbsp;</li> <li>Confidence, flexibility, teamwork, and perseverance in a learning community &nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to support the Christian ethos of the school community&nbsp;</li> </ul>
