Summary

Drive strategic marketing and communications initiatives, collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to achieve operational success! Provide expert advice while managing daily marketing operations, administration, and financial matters across the school. Deliver high‑level support to meet strategic goals and ensure smooth execution of marketing activities, including the planning and management of key school events throughout the year.

  • Work hours: 38.00 hours per week
  • Salary: School Officer Level 5 - $39.44 + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for: 

  • Overseeing the development, maintenance, and operations of online and print media, recommending improvements to processes and procedures where relevant 
  • Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures, and other guideline material and creating continuity of branding within the school 
  • Preparing and maintaining marketing procurement activities including overseeing budget administration, and activities 
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing processes and systems that enable effective management of social media, online platforms, and apps ensuring they are consistent with the school’s strategic and operational objectives 
  • Marketing and promoting services, coordinating programs and events that are responsive to the school requirements and current trends. 
  • Contributing to the school’s strategic and operational plans by reviewing legislation, regulations, initiatives and policies and providing recommendations
  • Coordinate and manage major school events throughout the academic year, including the Senior Formal, Academic Evening of Excellence, and a range of other whole‑school functions. 

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: 

  • Having experience in media management specifically online and print. 
  • Interpreting legislation and ensuring consistent branding 
  • Be available to work flexibly outside standard school hours to support and attend school events as required. 
  • Managed marketing procurement and budgeting activities 
  • Digital strategy and media management experience in aligning to objectives 
  • Experience in coordinating marketing, and events, aligned with needs and trends 
  • Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma in a related field. 

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements: 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment 
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
