About our school 
St Sebastian's School is situated in the inner-city suburb of Yeronga. We are a small Catholic primary school with approximately 83 students. We value a supportive, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment that caters for the uniqueness of each individual and their ability to engage and be successful in their learning. About the opportunity

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 

  • Reconciliation of accounts 
  • Cashier and banking duties
  • Accounts receivable, including debt collection
  • Accounts payable
  • Report preparation
  • Other administrative duties assigned as appropriate 

About you

 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

 

  • Have previous experience in accounts or finance role
  • Skills in developing and implementing effective financial management processes
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure with high prioritization skills to meet deadlines
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the school and demonstrate initiative
  • Be a skilful negotiator and communicator who is able to liaise with the school's Parent/Guardian community with empathy; Demonstrate sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements: 
Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
