Summary

We seek an efficient administration officer at Mt Maria College, Petrie. In this role you will collaborate with staff and leadership, and manage daily staff replacements and relief teachers through the Daily Organiser and Class Cover Systems. 

 

This position is 25 hours per week and requires a 6.30am start time.

  • Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4: $36.98/hr + super

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
  • Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
  • Managing daily staff replacements and relief through daily organiser and class cover
  • Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards
  • Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with experience with eMinerva and daily organiser advantageous
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Working collaboratively with staff and the leadership team
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
