About the Role:
The Acting Deputy Principal at Laidley District State School will play a key leadership role in supporting the Principal and staff to drive school improvement, with a particular focus on:
- Curriculum leadership and pedagogical practice
- Leading and supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school
- Using curriculum knowledge to improve outcomes for a diverse range of learners
- Supporting teachers to differentiate effectively for students with varying academic, behavioural and wellbeing needs
- Working collaboratively to strengthen inclusive practices and student engagement
- Contributing to a positive school culture that values relationships, high standards and student wellbeing

The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, evidence-based teaching practices and school improvement processes
- The ability to apply curriculum leadership to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students requiring extension, intervention or additional support
- A commitment to inclusive education and responsive support for students from a range of backgrounds and learning profiles
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, families and the wider community
- A collaborative and supportive leadership style that contributes positively to team culture
- The capacity to lead with clarity, compassion and high expectations
