Primary French Teacher

A 12-month maternity leave position is available to join our languages team in the Primary School, commencing as early as possible in Term 2, 2026. The exact start date will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The teaching load is approximately 0.6 of a full-time teaching load but can be flexible depending on the needs of the successful candidate. Applicants interested in a full time position who have expertise in other Primary Curriculum areas should indicate this in their application.
The successful applicant will be a capable French speaker with experience teaching primary aged students, including Kindergarten. They will have the ability to instil a love of the language in our students and expertise in motivating young children to engage in language learning.
Possessing a thorough knowledge of contemporary teaching and assessment practices, the successful applicant will be able to plan, prepare, and deliver high quality differentiated French lessons that include the use of a range of digital technologies to enhance learning. As a collaborative practitioner and effective communicator, they will work well with teachers across the Primary School and Secondary languages department.
