<p><strong>We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Middle Years Teacher of Science and Mathematics to join our team.</strong></p>
<p><em>The successful applicant will have a teaching load of Year 7 Mathematics, Year 7 Science and Year 8 Science.</em></p>

<p>With the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), students now have the choice of pursuing either the <strong>Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)</strong> or the <strong>International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)</strong> — reflecting our belief in meaningful choice and academic excellence. While involvement in the IBDP is not required for this role, we actively support staff who are interested in professional development across both pathways.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong><br />
This is a<strong> fixed-term, full-time position,</strong> commencing in <strong>Week 5 of Term 2, 2026</strong> or earlier by negotiation, for the remainder of the 2026 academic year. This role offers the opportunity to work with highly engaged Middle Years learners, building strong foundations in scientific thinking and numeracy. The successful candidate will:</p>

<li>Teach Middle Years Science (Years 7 and 8) and Mathematics (Year 7).</li>
<li>Join a collaborative, high performing and innovative Science and Mathematics Department.</li>

<p>We are looking for a teacher who:</p>

<li>Has expertise in Science and Mathematics with an understanding of the QCAA and Australian Curriculum.</li>
<li>Demonstrates a commitment to high-impact teaching and the use of evidence-informed strategies to support student learning.</li>
<li>Is passionate about inspiring girls to think critically and confidently in STEM.</li>
<li>Understands the unique developmental needs of Middle Years learners and creates engaging, structured and supportive classroom environments.</li>
<li>Values innovation, teamwork and ongoing professional growth.</li>
<li>Understands that positive relationships are integral to effective learning.</li>
<li>Holds current Queensland College of Teacher (QCT) registration and relevant tertiary qualifications .</li>
