<p><strong>Location:</strong> Mount Carmel Catholic College, Varroville</p>
<p>A temporary part time parental leave replacement position commencing 11 June 2026 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach TAS/Hospitality. This position is 2 days per week, working Thursday and Friday. </p>
<p>The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p>
<p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li>
<li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li>
<li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li>
<li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS/Hospitality.</li>
<li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li>
<li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li>
</ul>
<p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to teach Stage 6 Hospitality and Stage 4 & 5 Food Technology.</li>
</ul>
<p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p>
<ul>
<li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong organisational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li>
</ul>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS</p>
<ul>
<li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li>
<li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li>
<li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li>
</ul>
<p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p>
<p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p>
