Urangan State High School, established in 1992, is located in the coastal city of Hervey Bay and offers staff an enviable lifestyle with beautiful beaches, a relaxed coastal atmosphere, and a strong sense of community. Part of the Department of Education's North Coast Region, the school has been serving the community of Hervey Bay since 1992, and the area continues to experience rapid population growth making it a dynamic and expanding community.

We are seeking a passionate, flexible, and student-centred Secondary Teachers to join the Urangan State High School Teaching team. Urangan SHS is a school with strong momentum, currently undergoing an exciting phase of renewal.

The ideal applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, with the ability to engage and support diverse learners. They will be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment, with well-developed interpersonal skills and a willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative team culture. A passion for building meaningful relationships with students, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice, is essential. The successful applicants will play a key role in this journey by contributing to a culture that empowers curious learners, fosters creative thinking, and builds connected, capable young people.

• Mathematics/Science - Year 7/10 (full time, commencing ASAP - 11/12/26)
• English/Humanities and Social Services (Middle Years)/Geography/History - Year 7-10 (full time, commencing ASAP - 11/12/26)

• Australian working rights or valid visa
