Knowledge and teaching experience of the LOTE (Mandarin) Victorian Curriculum, prep – year 6, with a willingness to develop programs to suit every child is expected of all staff at St Elizabeth’s.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • have an understanding, commitment, and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church
  • demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with Child Safe standards
  • foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community
  • collaboratively plan and work in a team with flexibility, creativity, passion and enthusiasm
  • view themselves as a lifelong learner, which they foster in all students
  • display initiative and commitment to ongoing improvement
  • have a sound knowledge of contemporary learning, with a particular emphasis on the Victorian Curriculum through an inquiry approach
  • assess and report against the Victorian Curriculum to demonstrate student improvement
  • gather, analyse and use data (formal and informal) to improve teacher practice, pedagogy and student outcomes
  • have a commitment to pursuing and maintaining their professional knowledge and skills in the areas of teaching and learning and student wellbeing
  • to have a sound understanding and confidently incorporate the Digital Technologies curriculum to engage students in their learning
  • be adaptable and have a sense of humour
  • be provisionally or fully registered with VIT

The position is FTE 0.60 over three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
