Science Laboratory Manager – Permanent Full-Time Position

We are seeking an experienced and organised Science Laboratory Manager to lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our science laboratories. This permanent full‑time position worked during term time only is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, student‑focused environment and enjoys supporting high‑quality practical learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, equipment maintenance and WHS compliance
- Manage chemical storage, handling, labelling and disposal (SafeWork NSW, GHS, Chemwatch)
- Prepare materials, solutions and equipment for practical science lessons
- Support teaching staff with experiment planning and data logging tools (Pasco)
- Lead and support Laboratory staff and oversee daily operations
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Applied Science (e.g. Diploma or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques) or a related field
- Laboratory experience (school setting preferred) with strong WHS and chemical safety knowledge
- Skilled in preparing risk assessments and compliance documentation
- Highly organised with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current WWCC (or willingness to obtain one), First Aid Certificate, WHS training and NSW driver’s licence
