Join our team as a Tuckshop Assistant at St Catherine's Catholic College.

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Tuckshop Assistant to work in a Permanent, part-time capacity completing 12 hours per week (3 hours per day, 4 days per week).

The Tuckshop Assistant plays an important role in supporting the smooth daily operations of the St Catherine's Catholic College Tuckshop. This position involves assisting in preparing and serving food, coordinating volunteers, managing stock and orders, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work in a busy environment, demonstrating strong food handling skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, welcoming manner that reflects the College’s values and commitment to providing quality service to students, staff, and the wider school community.

Guided by Catholic values, you’ll embrace the school’s mission, prioritise student safety and wellbeing, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment where every learner feels they belong.

Surrounded by lush cane fields and framed by the Conway Ranges, Proserpine is a welcoming country town with the world-famous Whitsundays right on its doorstep. Its friendly community and relaxed regional lifestyle are balanced by easy access to adventure - from weekends exploring tropical islands and the Great Barrier Reef to hiking rainforest trails and finding hidden swimming holes. With its down-to-earth charm and endless opportunities to explore, Proserpine is an inspiring place to live and work.

Townsville Catholic Education has standards of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children. Our commitment to these standards requires that we conduct working with children checks and background referencing for all staff. The organisation is fully committed to child safety and has a zero tolerance to abuse of children or adults-at-risk.

The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
