Step into a unique opportunity to help establish a new public school from its foundation.

Alkimos North East Primary School is seeking a highly organised, detail-focused and proactive Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to join our team. Working closely with the Foundation Principal, this role will be central to setting up the systems, processes and structures that will underpin the school’s success, while also playing a key role in community engagement, enrolment growth and promotion of the school.

The Role

The Manager Corporate Services would lead the establishment of effective and compliant business operations across finance, human resources and administration, ensuring the school is operationally ready for students and families. The successful applicant will ideally be highly visible and actively engaged in the life of the school, working closely with families and the community to build strong relationships and confidence in a new school setting. This includes supporting early community engagement and marketing, using social media to promote the school and build enrolments, and ensuring a welcoming, professional and responsive experience for all families throughout enrolment and transition processes.

The role would involve developing clear, efficient and well-organised systems that support both daily operations and long-term planning, establishing and managing financial, HR and administrative processes aligned to Department requirements, and leading support staff to build a positive, collaborative and service-focused team culture. A strong focus on organisation, presentation and attention to detail will be highly desirable in creating systems that are accurate, streamlined and easy for others to follow. The Manager Corporate Services would also ensure compliance with Department policies and financial accountability requirements, while contributing to the overall operational readiness of the school in the lead up to opening. Ideally, this role requires someone who can think ahead, take initiative and bring structure and clarity to a fast-moving environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible and connected to the community, takes pride in creating organised, efficient and well-presented systems, and is motivated by building something new. It would suit someone who is equally confident working with people as they are working with systems, and who values both accuracy and relationships in their work.

We are seeking a highly capable professional who brings both expertise and initiative. The successful applicant will ideally display strong knowledge of Department enrolment processes, including the ability to manage efficient systems for large numbers of enrolments, and experience using and leading Compass, with the confidence to support and train others. Exceptional organisation and attention to detail are critical, along with the ability to prioritise, problem solve and adapt as the school develops. Strong interpersonal skills are highly important, particularly the ability to build positive, professional relationships with staff, families and the wider community, and to contribute to a welcoming and well-organised school environment.

This role plays a key part in shaping how our school operates. Strong systems, clear processes and positive engagement with families from the outset will support a smooth start and build confidence within the community.

This is an opportunity to be part of establishing a new school from the very beginning and to make a lasting impact on a new school community.
