The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Design and Technology teacher committed to supporting the growth of every student. You will engage with the school community, reflect on your teaching, and use evidence-based approaches to meet diverse student needs.
In this role, you may have the opportunity to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a diverse student cohort, working across areas such as woodwork, metalwork, and engineering. About the School
Narrogin SHS is a genuine comprehensive educational institution on a whole school improvement journey encompassing Fogarty EDvance, National School Improvement and Teaching for Impact. Our Business plan commenced in 2024 with a clear direction based on student outcomes. We have a strong academic focus that reflects the aspirations and desires of our contributory community, an outstanding sporting record, and a long-standing commitment to Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) program. The nostalgic two-storey structure of the school has pride of place in the town and has been built on the highest point in the district, offering sweeping views of the town and the hinterlands. Teachers and school administrators employed at Narrogin Senior High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
