This is a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026. There is a possibility of increased FTE.
Yealering Primary School (PS) is an inspiring rural school located between the three larger centres of Corrigin, Narrogin and Pingelly in the heart of the Upper Great Southern Wheatbelt. Our students are focused; behaviour is exemplary, and a nurturing culture supports individual student needs.
We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6). The Role
As a Primary Teacher at Yealering PS, the successful applicant should ideally possess professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to our Year 2-6 multi-age classroom and K-6 as a provider of Duties Other Than Teaching (DOTT). You will ideally develop an understanding of each individual student, set high expectations, cultivate a growth mindset while catering for their academic, social, physical and emotional growth.
We are seeking a teacher who is ideally innovative and possesses high quality teaching skills and knowledge, including a clear understanding of an explicit approach to teaching. Ideally, applicants will be data literate and use assessments to guide future planning for teaching and learning.
We highly value applicants committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents and the wider community. They should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the West Australian Curriculum and have a sound understanding of differentiation to meet all student’s needs.
We are looking for a teacher who is actively involved in all aspects of the school community, with an enthusiastic attitude to build positive relationships with our students, staff, families and the broader school community.

An Australian driver’s license and your own transport would be desirable as suitable housing may be located in neighbouring communities/towns.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
