Teacher, $88,178 - $127,737 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Education Support for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Canning Vale Education Support Centre (ESC) is a growing, Independent Public Kindergarten to Year 6 school with a current enrolment of 58 children. We host one of the Autism Early Intervention programs for Kindy and Pre-primary students with Autism.The Centre is situated on a shared campus with Canning Vale Primary School located South East of Perth in the metropolitan area.

The Role

Suitable applicants should be motivated, compassionate, flexible and highly organised. In this position it is important you are familiar with, or willing to learn, strategies and use of evidence-based programs such as Applied Behaviour Analysis, Direct Instruction, Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children (TEACCH), task analysis and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to work effectively with our diverse range of students. Highly developed classroom management skills are ideal to create the safe and caring environments required for optimal learning to take place, as is the use of collaborative planning to support targeted and sustainable behaviour interventions. Proficiency in the use of assessment to identify ability, interests, progress and areas for development is highly regarded as is the ability to develop plans/programs aligned with identified individualised student outcomes. Suitable applicants will ideally possess outstanding communication skills and demonstrate strong leadership within the classroom and wider community.
