Who We Are:
Childers State School is part of Education Queensland and serves the rural Isis community and the township of Childers.
Childers is located almost halfway between Maryborough and Bundaberg on the Bruce Highway.
The school was established in 1888, although it was moved to the new buildings at its current site in 1987.Enrolments vary around the level of 234 children.
In 2017 classes from prep to year six. We enjoy the expertise of music, physical education, digital technology and German teachers. A Special Education Unit operates from the school.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
- Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
- Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
