The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students. Co-located with Port Augusta Secondary School, Port Augusta Technical College runs a part time enrolment model for secondary school students within the region to access whilst maintaining their enrolment in their current school. Port Augusta Technical College has accommodation facilities on site and offer four industry training programs for careers in civil, resources and infrastructure, health and social support, hospitality and tourism, and multi-trades (for careers such as plumbers, builders, electricians, and boilermakers). What you will do: - Educational Leadership: Support the development of professional learning environments by strengthening networks between teachers, trainers, mentors, Industry and Employer partners within and beyond Port Augusta Technical College to foster dialogue, sharing, and constructive feedback to improve educational outcomes for students. - Strategic Planning: Lead the implementation of a range of student support strategies including quality career education and guidance, wellbeing for learning and mentoring in the technical college and with employer partners. - Positive outcomes: Lead a positive and constructive and working environment that is focused on quality student outcomes. What you will need: - Proven ability to establish sound and effective relationships and communication with staff, students, parents, and training providers to promote professional dialogue and a collaborative working culture resulting in improved educational outcomes for students. - Proven ability to lead and designing and delivery of high-quality teaching approaches that foster student engagement and support learner growth. - Experience in leading flexible industry pathway curriculum and educational reform including processes to engage community and industry stakeholders to establish pathways for students.
